What is a residential container? A residential container is a heavily insulated living module designed for extended occupancy — unlike a basic "bytovka" used for short stays, residential containers feature 200mm insulation, upgraded finishes, and furniture packages (beds, wardrobes, desks) suited for workers living on-site for weeks or months at a time. They are the standard sleeping unit for oil & gas and mining shift camps.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between residential containers and bytovki? +
Residential containers have thicker insulation (200mm vs 50-100mm), better finishes and are designed for months of continuous occupancy, while bytovki are simpler units typically for shorter stays or use as work cabins.
Can units be stacked to save site space? +
Yes, residential containers can be stacked 2 levels high with external staircases, which is common in space-constrained camps.
What heating capacity is needed for -40°C conditions? +
With 200mm insulation, a single room (approx. 14m²) typically requires 1.5-2kW of heating to maintain comfortable temperatures at -40°C ambient — we size the heating system per your climate zone.
Can these be connected to a central boiler system? +
Yes, units can be supplied with radiator connections instead of (or in addition to) electric heating, for camps with central boiler houses.
Is bedding and furniture included in the price? +
Beds, wardrobes and basic furniture are included in "furnished" configurations as listed in pricing. Bedding/linens are typically supplied separately based on camp operator preference.
