Why it matters
Personal laundry and workwear processing are different flows: volume, soiling, washing and drying programs. If workwear on the site is laundered centrally, the equipment is selected by daily load and schedule, not directly by the number of residents.
Laundry equipment sets the electrical load, water, wastewater and ventilation, while drying rooms add heat and moisture. These loads are part of the camp's overall utility balance, so they are calculated together with the canteen and the sanitary modules.
Storage of clean and used linen, the drying area and the issue area are separate rooms in the functional program. A bathhouse or sauna, if needed, is designed as a separate facility with its own requirements.
