What you will be able to do after this lesson
You will be able to name the product correctly in a specification and understand when a comparison "by price per square meter" does not work.
Why it matters
A single block container is a finished product with its own roof, floor and electrical entry. Several units become a building only once the joints between modules, corridors and passages, the common roof, services distribution and the spatial behavior of the structure have been resolved. This is design work, not "placing them side by side".
Hence the difference in price per square meter: a building adds connection details, corridor modules, stairs, a common roof and external utilities. Comparing a single unit and a finished building by one unit price is meaningless.
Technological modules for equipment are a third category: they are designed around the equipment rather than around people, and do not belong to the block container series.

How to apply this on a project
- Step 1. A single unit can be an office, a security checkpoint, a sanitary or a technological room.
- Step 2. Several units form a building only once joints, passages, building services and the joint structural behavior have been resolved.
- Step 3. For a multi-module facility, tolerances and compatibility matter.
- Step 4. The product name does not replace the requirements for its purpose.
Typical mistake
Comparing a single block container and a finished multi-module building by price per square meter alone.
