Why it matters
Camp utilities are designed as a whole: the electrical load balance for all buildings and equipment, the heat source and its backup, water consumption and wastewater based on the accommodation and catering schedule, and communications. Modules purchased before the utility network design almost always lead to rework.
The scope of supply is especially important here: where the factory-built systems of the modules end and the site networks begin, who builds the external networks, the connections and the commissioning. These boundaries are recorded in a responsibility matrix in the specification.
Power and heat sources for remote sites are a separate category of technological modules: diesel generator, boiler, pumping and substation modules. They are designed around the equipment and do not belong to the block container series.
